Veterinary HPM Clinical Diet - Kidney Support

Veterinary HPM Clinical Diet - Kidney for cats was developed by Virbac to help slow the progression of chronic renal failure by reducing harmful elements in kidneys and restoring lost nutrients. The great taste and small portions help with the loss of appetite.

    Use for:

    • Cats with chronic kidney problems
    • Cats with chronic liver problems
    • Cats with chronic heart problems

    Key features

The diet is high in energy and fat, and as a result a small portion contains all the nutrition needed. This makes it ideal for cats with loss of appetite. In addition, the chunks have a fatty coat, making them a tasty meal. The correct protein supply helps fight blood poisoning and prevents the liver being overloaded. Soluble fibres reduce nitrogen content, which is less of a strain on the kidneys. The phosphorus, calcium, potassium and sodium levels are adapted for cats with kidney problems in order to protect them, while maintaining the nutrient levels needed. Antioxidants (vitamin E, selenium, and tomato lycopene) help to protect blood vessels, heart and kidneys, as well as slow down deterioration. Because of the composition of the food, the concentration of phosphorus, urea and ammonia in the blood is reduced, which helps to protect kidney function. Essential Omega-3 fatty acids help improve blood flow and the filtering action of the kidneys, which slows the progression of chronic kidney problems. Due to the high content of arginine (amino acid), chronic liver insufficiency can be compensated for.
