  • Product Description

A complete BARF (bones and raw food) diet includes raw meat, organs and vegetables. Adding dried vegetables makes this step even easier. 100 grams of dried vegetables are as valuable as 1kg of fresh vegetables, and are available throughout all seasons.

    Nutrients:

The controlled drying process guarantees the almost complete conservation of the vegetable nutrients, vitamins and essential oils. This preserves nearly all of the nutrients!

    Four varieties:

    • Mix 1: Carrots, cabbage, leeks, runner beans.
    • Mix 2: Carrots, red beets, courgette, parsnip.
    • Mix 3: Broccoli, carrots, celery, spinach.
    • Mix 4: Parsnip, Patatoes, Tomatoes, zucchini.

    Nutritional dosage:

1 gram of dried vegetables is equivalent to about 10 grams of fresh vegetables.
A dog needs around 2-4% of its body weight in food per day when following a BARF diet (total diet of meat and vegetables/grains). This corresponds to about 20-40g/kg of body weight.
    For example: A dog of 10kg requires between 200 and 400 grams of BARF food (10 x 20 to 40 grams = 200 grams to 400 grams).

The amount of BARF given depends on many individual factors such as age, temperament, etc. This should always be tailored to the individual and be flexible.

    To make it complete

To truly complete the BARF diet, combine the fresh meat and dried vegetables with Hokamix Barf CombiMix.

GRAU Dried Vegetable Mix reviews
  • Good results
By Mave, Friday 17 May 2019

I buy this for my rescue spaniel mix who is very prone to weight gain( he has a congenital hip problem so overweight is not good) he is on a very strict diet so I take out a large spoonful of his kibble and replace it with 2large spoonful of the veg which has been reconstituted by adding boiling water , this appears to work as he has lost a kilo and a half in 6 weeks , it also appears to keep him full for longer and he is scavenging a lot less while we are on his daily walks , this is a lot less stressful for me as I kept on thinking I was under feeding him . it has taken me nearly 4 years to find a way to keep him well fed without huge weight gain so thank you so much from a very satisfied well fed Sam and a happy owner thank you .xxx

  • Helps in weight loss
By Mave malin, Friday 5 April 2019

Bought this to try and get my rescue spaniel down to a healthy weight , I add I dessert spoon full to his light dry food to fill him up without extra calories and in the last 4 weeks he has actually lost weight , I have tried everything I can think of over the 3 years I’ve had him and this is the first time I’ve had a good result , I need him to lose weight for two good reasons , I don’t like to see a dog struggling because of excess weight , and he has a hip problem that could cause a lot of pain in future years so I decided to act now . Ben is now moving a lot easier due to the loss of weight which makes his walks a lot more fun for him and for me . I shall carry on using the dry veg until he reaches an ideal weight for him . Thank you .

I add a spoonful to the kibble my dogs have and they always eat it first. A great, healthy addition to their diet and made better as my boy, who is all grain and chicken intolerant, is having no issues with it at all. Thank you

  • Great Veggies for raw feeding
By Candace, Wednesday 16 May 2018

I have always used a dehydrated mix (never goes bad) and this one is very good. I make about 1/2 cup dried veggies with about 1 cup hot water and let it sit 5 min. I put 1-2 TB in my dog's food (with a BARF supplement and salmon oil as well), and he scarfs it down. It smells sweet due to the beets, so he loves it. He is currently 13 weeks old and he has been eating it since 10 weeks.
