The selected strains of bacteria in Phytonics Probiotics have a high tolerance for gastric acid and bile, ensuring a high survival rate in the gastrointestinal tract. The prebiotics (Fructooligosaccharides FOS) in the product form a matrix that supports the growth of the various strains of bacteria.

Dosage

(Unless otherwise prescribed by a veterinarian) First week, twice daily: Dog/Cat

• < 10 kg 1 scoop
• 10-25 kg 2 scoops
• > 25 kg 3 scoops

After the first week, reduce dosage to once a day. 1 scoop contains half a gram of Phytonics Probiotics.

Administration:

For best result, dissolve Phytonics powder in lukewarm water, leave for 15 minutes, stir and and feed to the animal via a syringe in the mouth; ideally on an empty stomach. It takes 15 minutes for the bacteria to activate themselves, meaning they should have reached the correct stage of development when they are administered, also making them more resistant to stomach acid and bile.

Please note When beginning a course of probiotics, gas build-up can occur and may cause cramps. This will disperse naturally over time. Halve the initial dose in the first few weeks if your pet suffers from these symptoms.

Composition

Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus paracasei, Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactococcus lactis, supplemented with 15% fructooligosaccharides. 1 gram of Probiotics contains 0.85 billion CFU (viable microbes).
