    The Protective Sleeve Taz is specifically designed for dogs with problems on one or both front legs.

    After years of development, the creators of the Medical Pet Shirt have introduced a practical solution for protecting your dog's front legs. The sleeve is useful after surgery to protect the stitches, or for prolonged skin complaints on your dog's front legs.

    Advantages of the Taz:

    • Specially developed to fit your pet's body.
    • Can be used on either leg.
    • Easy to use, with adjustable Velcro and snap closures for a snug fit.
    • Double closures prevent the dog from removing the sleeve. It is comfortable, with a double layer of fabric and soft padding.
    • The stretch sleeve easily covers bandages.
    • Machine washable at 30C (fasten Velcro before washing and do not tumble dry).

    Colour and material:

    • Exterior/interior: Dark blue
    • Body: 100% cotton double layer outer with poly filling
    • Sleeves: 97% cotton, 3% Lycra

    Available in 8 sizes:

    Measure your pet to determine the length of the sleeve needed. Then measure the chest circumference. The sleeve can be rolled up if needed. The sleeve is made from stretch material.

    What if the Protective Sleeve Taz does not fit?

    Please note that as we often receive returned products that are dirty or worn, we apply the following conditions for trying on and/or exchanging the Protective Sleeve Taz. The Sleeve can be removed from the packaging and held up next to the dog in order to check whether it fits. For hygiene reasons, the Sleeve cannot be returned if it has come into contact with the dog, if it is dirty, stained, worn, smells, contains animal hair or has been washed after use.

    I realised this might not be ideal as sighthounds are so difficult to fit, being tall and skinny. Following an injury, I bought one for my male deerhound and chose XL as his chest measurement was at the lower end of the quoted scale, although I thought the leg might not be long enough. When it eventually arrived (Hermes really messed up; not only late, the box had come open) I held it up against my dog. It looked as though it would fit, so tried it on, but even at the tightest snap fastening, it was not a snug fit, although the leg was just about long enough. Big mistake to leave it on the dog - he managed to get at his stapled wound with his tongue because the chest/armhole was so loose. So it's back to the T-shirt and out with the sewing machine! It is, however, well made, but for the want of an additional row or two of snaps and a little more velcro it would fit a sight hound too.

    My dog has just had an operation on his leg that we needed to cover on his walk. This did the job perfectly. Fitted well, material was soft and comfortable. Washed well also. Would recommend.

    The sleeve was a godsend to help protect an injury to my dogs leg. She liked wearing it ! and it was easy to put on and wash when necessary. Beats a cone any day, saved the house from destruction and got a thumbs up from the vet !! Voi La

  • Chihuahua with broken withfront leg that was pinned & plated

    Brilliant! My chihuahua was very unhappy wearing a plastic device around her head & also an inflatable neck collar, so I tried to make a stocking & vest which would cover her leg & stop her from licking wound, after several failed attempts, I googled for similar to which I found exactly what I was looking for on Vetsend. On receiving the product my chihuahua was wearing it within 10 mins & it was everything I had hoped it would be. Quality, fit, colour & my chihuahua was totally at ease & happy to wear it, which she did constantly for 2weeks with no problems. I was surprised how quick I received it too. 10 out of 10 .
