Idiopathic cystitis

Cystitis in cats is referred to as idiopathic. If other potential causes (bacterial infection, bladder stones, urinary crystals, etc.) can be eliminated, it can be put down to idiopathic cystitis. The cause is not fully understood but it appears to be related to feline stress. Calming cat pheromones such as Feliway reduce stress and support the efficacy of Cystease.

How Cystease works

Cystease helps to restore the bladder wall and keeps it healthy.

Administration and dosage

Cystease are palatable tablets that can be administered directly into the mouth or crushed and mixed with food. The dosage is 1 tablet twice a day per 5 kg body weight during the first week. After that, give 1 tablet daily per 5 kg body weight for the next 3 weeks. A possible maintenance dose is 1 tablet per 5 kg body weight every other day.
