What is OC/OCD?

Loose pieces of cartilage in the joint are called osteochondrosis dissecans (OCD). OCD is the most severe form of osteochondrosis (OC). OC and OCD are more likely to occur in young horses that are not yet working or have only been working for a short time. Large and rapidly growing horses often develop OC or OCD, particularly in the knees and hock, but other joints can also be affected.

Pavo Podo Care supports bone metabolism and thereby reduces the risk of developing OC/OCD by a factor of 4!

The secret of the Pavo Podo Care is in the ratio of calcium, magnesium and phosphorus, and the way in which they are combined. Pavo Podo Care also ensures balanced growth and support. This supplement gives your foal the best possible start towards growing up to be a healthy horse!

What does this mean for horse owners?

You can help reduce the chance of your horse developing OCD by administering this supplement from an early age. OCD can in some instances be hereditary, however, this supplement goes a long way in managing its effects.

Suitable for

• Young pony foals up to 30 months of age
• Mares in the last months of pregnancy, when they are not receiving Pavo PodoLac.

Use

Provide your horse with Pavo Podo Care until the age of 30 months or until your horse can eat Pavo Podo Start on its own. If a foal eats 1 kilo of Pavo Podo Start per day, it is no longer necessary to give Pavo Podo Care.
