Veterinary HPM - Senior Large & Medium - Neutered Dog

Senior Large & Medium - Neutered Dog from Virbac Veterinary HPM is a complete food suitable for neutered dogs of medium and large breeds over the age of 6. The composition of the food is specifically tailored to the needs of medium and large breeds. The new health food is based on a low carbohydrate and high protein formula. The reduction of starch and carbohydrates and the increase of animal fats make the food even more suitable for the traditional, natural needs of carnivores.

Recommended for

  • The food is recommended for medium breeds between 11 and 25kg from the age of 8 years.
  • The food is recommended for large breeds weighing up to 25kg from the age of 6 years.
  • Complete food for older neutered dogs of medium and large breeds.

Key benefits

  • The low fat content and the high protein content reduce the risk of obesity. After neutering, dogs are more prone to obesity. L-carnitine also reduces the risk of obesity.
  • Chondroitin and chitosan contribute to healthy joints. In combination with the high protein content, the food supports the powerful musculoskeletal system.
  • The limited starch content helps the glycemia to stabilize.
  • The appropriate amount of protein helps the maintain muscle mass.
  • The high protein content contributes to an increased water intake and healthy kidneys.
  • Prebiotics and probiotics contribute to a balanced intestinal flora and a healthy bowel function.
  • The high protein and Omega-6 and Omega-3 fatty acid content contributes to the development of the skin and to a glossy coat.
  • Does not contain maize, wheat, gluten, soy, egg or beef and is therefore low in allergens. Food with a low allergen content is suitable for dogs that suffer from hypersensitivity or allergies.
