Oriental Longhair

The Oriental Longhair is a slender cat. It has a lively character and is full of energy. It has a strong personality but is somewhat calmer than its shorter-haired brother, the Oriental Shorthair. This cat is very attached to its owner and doesn’t like being alone. He can be a bit hesitant when meeting strangers. The coat care is very simple.

Character

The Oriental Longhair is a lively, playful cat with a lot of energy. He has a strong personality. He is somewhat calmer and more composed than the Oriental Shorthair. This social cat gets along well with others of his kind but is somewhat distant towards strangers. The Oriental Longhair is very attached to its owner. He does not like to be alone. The Oriental Longhair is very talkative. The care of his coat is very simple.

Body, legs and tail

Oriental Longhairs have a medium-sized, long and slender body. The bones are fine and the muscles are strong. The legs are long and the hind legs are longer than the front legs. The feet are oval and small. The tail is very long and has a nice long coat.

Head, ears and eyes

The head of the Oriental Longhair is long and triangular. The forehead is flat. It has a fine snout with a straight, long nose. The chin is firm. Its ears are very large but in proportion to the head. The Oriental Longhair has medium-sized, almond-shaped eyes which are slanted. The eye colour is usually green. White cats have blue eyes.
