This supplement can be given with food. You can moisten the powder so that it cannot be blown out of the food bowl. During pregnancy or lactation, please consult with your veterinarian before use.

Is it not possible to spread out the daily recommended dosage over multiple times a day? It's no problem to give the daily recommended dosage at once. Keep in mind that the desired result may take a while, even a couple of weeks.

In acute situations, the treatment duration is relatively short. This may vary from a few days to 3 weeks. When you notice an improvement, you can continue to administer this product for a few more days. In the event of long-term discomfort, the effect is usually visible after 1 to 3 weeks. Once you notice an improvement, you can move to a maintenance dose. We recommend that you insert a stop week after every 6 to 8 week treatment period. This allows you to reintroduce the stimulant after the stop week. Resume treatment immediately if necessary. This product can be given indefinitely.

L-Lysine, magnesium citrate and Vitamin B6.

The composition of dog/cat and horse is identical, only the contents are higher because a horse requires a significantly higher dosage. However, you can also use the 500 g version for your dog or cat.

Keep out of direct sunlight and store in a dry place with temperatures between 5 and 20 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children. Expiration date is printed on the label and packaging.

Puur L-Lysine reviews
  • Excellent product
By Simon, Monday 6 April 2020

This is the best lysine supplement yet - we tried a tuna flavour paste - worked for a while, then the cat started to refuse food with it added, we tried chewy 'treats' but he is an old boy and they were too tough to chew, so he stopped taking them too. This is a flavourless powder, easily added to food, and he is very happy to eat food with it added.

  • Puur L-Lysine.
By Martyn Rose, Tuesday 15 May 2018

I bought this because our cat has developed rodent ulcers around her mouth. The vet has given her medication but it still kept flaring up occasionally. Since using the L-Lysine the condition seems to have improved with fewer flare ups.

  • Puur L-Lysine
By Martyn Rose, Wednesday 27 December 2017

I bought this because my cat has a rodent ulcer on her lip, steroids from the vet keep it in check but it is quite sore and must be painful. I read that L-Lysine helped with this condition and after three weeks it does seem to be helping.
