With four different functions, this is a versatile shirt made specifically for dogs!

Similar to the Medical Pet Shirt, the Top Shirt protects wounds (such as hotspots in dogs) and bandages. This shirt covers the chest, upper back and neck. Made from a double layer of cotton with a soft poly filling, it causes minimal obstruction to movement. The shoulder and neck areas are made from stretch fabric with a reinforced cotton trim.
The adjustable Velcro fastening around the chest, along with the elasticated underside, helps to apply pressure. Constant pressure has a strong sedative effect for most dogs, therefore it can be used to reduce anxiety. It can be used, for example, to keep the dog calm after surgery.
On the back of the shirt there is a lockable container (12(L) x 9(W) x 3(H) cm), which can be used for a drain pump or portable IV drip.
The MPS Protective Top Shirt has additional press studs, so that rear leg sleeves can be attached to the shirt.

What if the MPS Protective Top Shirt does not fit?
The MPS Protective Top Shirt can be removed from the packaging and held up next to the dog in order to check whether the shirt fits. For hygiene reasons, the shirt cannot be returned if it has come into contact with the dog. If we find that the returned shirt is stained, worn, contains animal hair, smells or has been washed after use, we cannot return the product to you. In this event, it will be donated to a charity (local shelter). As we are often confronted with MPS Protective Top Shirt that are returned in a less than new condition, we have to apply these rules for fitting and/or returning products.

Fabulous product. My dog had surgery on his hind leg and not even the vet could figure out how to effectively bandage his wound, as it was in such a hyper-mobile area. I found this MPS medical pet shirt, then used Surgifix to cover a large foam dressing, then pinned the Surgifix to different places on the MPS. Problem solved. Because the Surgifix is stretchy, my dog could move any which way and the wound stayed covered. I think the MPS was also calming for my dog, like a gentle hug. He slept in it without difficulty, wearing it 24-7 for many days. 4 starts instead of 5 because it tore and a replacement was needed. But this was after 3 months of intensive use (a new problem arose and we needed it a second time, but it tore).

No instructions with this, all well packaged with a picture but no instructions on how to put the body to the 2 leg pieces. I had to search on-line for detailed instructions. At £53 it's pretty expensive and so I would have expected instructions with it. Its quite complicated and trying to fit it onto an active springer with a TPLO surgery was a nightmare. I gave up the first day and had another try the following day. I have had a body before in this brand when she was spayed and that was perfect.
