Flakes

Flakes, such as Tetra Menu Food Mix Flakes, are a popular choice for aquarium fish and are suitable for fish that feed at the water’s surface. This food is easy to digest and spreads easily across the surface, allowing several fish to eat at the same time.

Tablets

Tablets sink to the bottom and are therefore suitable for fish that feed on the bottom, such as catfish. This food dissolves gradually, allowing bottom-feeding fish to eat more calmly. Tablets come in several varieties, for example Tetra Pleco XL Tablets.

Granules

Granules are small pellets that are suitable for fish in the middle of the water or just below the surface. Depending on the type of granules, they may float or sink slowly. An example of granulated food is Tetra Discus Granules.

How much should you feed aquarium fish?

It’s best to feed your aquarium fish several times a day in small amounts. Do not overfeed, as excess food can pollute the water. Adjust the amount to the number of fish and their size.
