How to use Slippery Elm Bark Powder

Mix 4 g of powder (1 measuring spoon equals 1 g) with approximately 250 ml of cold water in a steel pan. After a short boiling time, remove the pan from the heat and keep stirring until the powder is fully dissolved. Let the slippery elm syrup cool היט thoroughly. The prepared syrup can then be administered to the animal in the required ml using a syringe (without needle). The prepared syrup can be stored in the refrigerator for 5-6 days.

If possible, administer the syrup 30 minutes before normal feeding. Do not mix the elm bark syrup with food, as the strong mucus formation may prevent the absorption of nutrients.

Tip: If, contrary to expectations, your pet does not like to eat the syrup, try stirring the elm bark powder into a home-cooked chicken stock instead of water.
