My lovebird really doesn’t like new things and can be quite aggressive towards anything new in the cage. So I first bought this small coconut/house so he could get used to it. I placed it at eye level opposite his favourite spot. On day 1, he wasn’t very happy but was curious. By day 2, he was inside it, going in and out all the time, playing with it and happily chirping, and even sleeping in it a few nights. I bought this as a starter for a bigger one I actually wanted to get. He hardly sleeps in this one anymore, but I’m glad it was his stepping stone. For a lovebird, it’s a bit small and mine is quite old, so more space would be better so he can move around and relax his feet, but when he’s active, it’s a nice little hideout to play in. He’s quite squished in there though 😂 (I couldn’t add a photo, otherwise I would have).
