Back Zoo Nature Villa Coconuts

I first bought the smaller version so my lovebird could get used to it. He found it scary and didn’t like it (big contraption 😂) – biting, climbing over it, squeaking – but I saw him play and sleep with the small one, so I encouraged him to try the large one. It’s quite dark and mine was scared at first, but after shining a torch inside a few times, putting things in, and some millet spray, he went in by himself at night once. (What helped was not setting it too high; he didn’t want to go in if it was high because then he could sit on top and study and “mark” it as territory with his beak). After that, I placed it at eye level next to a side opening of the cage (he had to pass it because it’s his favourite door to get out) and put a perch at eye level too. Fantastic purchase. He can snuggle in, hang his head out, and rest it on the opening when he’s dozing off. He can fully retreat and shelter himself inside because there’s plenty of room, and he’s old so sometimes he just wants to lie down or rest both feet properly. He chews the outside, inside and the opening, so he can have a proper gnaw fest and “wreck” it without damaging anything. He now sleeps in it every night: he loves it so much, always chirping, purring, humming, and grinding before falling asleep. Great buy. Very satisfied. (I once accidentally bought a fabric one, oops total fail, but this is really top!!) *If I could post a photo, I would have ;) unfortunately couldn’t.
