Pheromones are chemical compounds that are normally produced by an animal itself. Each pheromone causes a different reaction. The Beaphar CaniComfort products contain a copy of the mother pheromone or DAP (Dog Appeasing Pheromone). This pheromone provides puppies with a reassuring feeling and also helps adult dogs feel more at ease.

The CaniComfort products can be used in stressful situations. Stress in dogs can show itself in different ways. Examples of signals include:

• Urinating indoors
• No appetite/not wanting to drink
• Barking a lot
• Destroying belongings
• Restlessness or trying to hide
• Excessive licking, for example of the paws

The Spot-On is suitable for use in:

• New situations, such as training and meeting other dogs
• New environments, such as moving house, staying in kennels, new family members
• Stressful situations, such as thunderstorms, fireworks, travelling and loud noises

CaniComfort also has a collar for puppies and adult dogs. In addition to the collar, there is also a spray that can be used in the basket or in the car before departure and a diffuser for indoor use.

Usage

Apply the contents of the pipette to a different place from a flea product. Preferably on top of the head or between the ears. Allow the liquid to dry thoroughly. For the best result, repeat the treatment weekly. The effect of this spot-on may be reduced by swimming, heavy rain or bathing. Do not use the pipette on damaged skin and store in a dry place below 25 degrees.
