I have two cats, a female and a male, both neutered, aged 4 and 12 years. I suspected bladder issues with the eldest, and the youngest is on epilepsy medication, so the calming effect of this food is also a bonus. The youngest needs medication but can do a bit less now, which is very nice. They both enjoy eating it, so I will keep giving it, now on the second bag.

Finally a food that stops my cat’s urinary problemsBy Marit, Sunday 8 December 2024Brit Veterinary Diet Cat - Grain Free - Struvite - 5 kg
I give this to both my cats; one often had urinary infections and crystals. I had a lot of trouble with that and kept having to switch to different prescription diets (some containing grains) from the vet, and then another one. My cat soon refused to eat all those different prescription foods, so I started looking for a grain-free special diet for cats with urinary issues. After much research and comparing all the ingredients, I decided to try this food. I’ve been feeding it for a long time now and am very happy with it. It’s been almost a year without any urinary problems. This food contains much lower levels of magnesium, potassium, and calcium than other prescription diets. The addition of cranberries and sea buckthorn acidifies the urine further, and sea buckthorn also boosts the immune system. Add to that ingredients that reduce stress and keep the cat happy, making this the perfect food for my cat. No other food for my cats anymore!
