The Canina Petvital Bird Power supports the following areas of ornamental birds, parakeets, and parrots, namely fertility, better egg fertilisation, improved feather quality, reduced feather plucking, growth regulation, good feed conversion, and weight gain. It also provides support during molting, wound healing, and immune stimulation. The support extends to conditions of the respiratory organs, even during antibiotic treatment, protection against skin diseases, and parasite infestations. Lastly, it can also support in stressful situations such as exhibitions and travel.

Birds need to consume one-third of their body weight in food daily. Since it is often not guaranteed that all necessary nutrients, such as essential amino acids and trace elements, are available in daily food, it is advisable and often absolutely necessary to meet the needs with supplements from Canina. Chronic malnutrition can lead to captive birds developing abnormal behaviour and health issues, such as feather plucking, prolonged molting, loss of appetite, egg fertilization deficiencies, chick mortality, and more.

• A deficiency in essential amino acids such as lysine and methionine is indicated by the following symptoms: prolonged molting - reduced egg size - weight loss - growth retardation - feather development disturbance.
• A deficiency in folic acid is indicated by the following symptoms: feather colour distortion - lack of hatching - increased embryo mortality.
• A deficiency in trace elements such as iron (Fe) and zinc (Zn) is indicated by the following symptoms: anaemia - deterioration of condition - growth retardation - disease susceptibility - reduced taste sensation - reduced food intake - growth inhibition - damage to skin, hair, or feathers - lack of testes development - skeletal damage - dwarfism

Recommended dosage per day and animal in 100 ml of drinking water

• Small birds (canaries and parakeets): 3-5 drops.
• Larger birds according to size: 5-10 drops in food or drinking water.

Administer daily for a period of 4 weeks. Then cease administration for 4 weeks before restarting.
