Approach to training

Because this small dog can do relatively little harm, Chihuahua’s are generally raised very freely. This is a pity, because Chihuahuas are eager to learn. Chihuahua’s are social animals and living together with dogs and cats usually goes without any problems. Remember that a Chihuahua is so small that it can easily be trampled under the feet of larger dogs. This breed is not suitable for a family with young children who will consider the dog as a toy.

Common symptoms

  • The weakness of Chihuahua’s is the teeth. The teeth are quickly full of dental plaque, making its breath not pleasant to smell. The formation of abscesses is also stimulated by this dental plaque.
  • The eyes are also very sensitive to dehydration of the cornea and to glaucoma or green cataracts.
