This bed was bought for our spaniel who has arthritis in her elbow. She loves it. Instead of curling up in a ball in her bed she often lays flat out on her back. (We don't have central heating so it's quite cold in our house) It is really thick and padded in comparison with cheaper versions which are just a foil sheet in a cover. I would definitely recommend this.
