Note: Glandex Soft Chews have a new composition. The previous version was based on peanut butter, the new formula contains chicken. Due to this change, the colour, texture and smell of the soft chews have changed.

    Anal glands

If your dog struggles to empty its anal glands, these can get too full and become irritated. This may prevent regular visits to your veterinarian to empty the glands, which is usually quite uncomfortable for your dog. The anal glands are on both sides of the anus. Normally they are emptied when your dog does its business or in the event of any sudden excitement. However, if they are not emptied, they become too full and are under pressure, which is unpleasant for your dog.

    Glandex soft chew tablets

Glandex is developed to keep the anal glands healthy. It contains various ingredients that ensure that the anal glands work properly from the inside and are emptied regularly. They are chew tablets with a nice flavour that are easy to give to your dog. The ingredients support the anal glands and digestion. The added fibre makes your pet's stool firm and solid. This solid stool puts pressure on the anal glands, so that they are emptied when your pet does its business. In addition, the tablets contain natural anti-inflammatories, which help keep the anal glands healthy. The glands will be less irritated as a result. Finally, the Glandex tablets contain probiotics and digestive enzymes, supporting well-functioning anal glands.

    • Supports the natural emptying of the anal glands

Glandex reviews
  • From 5 to 1 star due to the new formula

    Glandex - 60 Chewing Tablets

For years, I was extremely enthusiastic about Glandex and, as a professional dog groomer, often recommended it to clients with dogs suffering from full or inflamed anal glands. Unfortunately, the peanut butter flavour has been replaced by chicken. I find this an incomprehensible choice. Dogs with recurring anal gland problems often have a food allergy, with chicken being one of the most common allergens. As a result, a large part of the target group can no longer use this product. I’ve seen in several reviews that I’m not the only one experiencing this. Therefore, I hope the peanut butter variant returns or, at the very least, a chicken-free option is offered again. Then I would immediately recommend the product with conviction once more.

    Glandex - 120 Chewing Tablets

My dogs have always had problems with their anal glands. My vet recommended this product to me, and I’m absolutely thrilled with it. When my dogs’ stools are a bit softer, I give them a drop each, and the problem is solved.

  • Unfortunately no peanut butter

    Glandex - 120 Chewing Tablets

Unfortunately, the peanut butter flavour has been discontinued. The product was recommended to me by my vet since our dog always has issues with her anal glands. I immediately thought to order it, but it turns out only the chicken flavour is now available and our dog is allergic to chicken, so unfortunately that’s not an option. Hopefully there will be more demand and the peanut butter flavour will return.

    Glandex - 60 Chewing Tablets

Unfortunately, the product has changed from peanut butter flavour to chicken. But not an improvement. With the peanut butter, we didn't have to visit the vet for months, but now with the chicken variety, unfortunately, we do. I've seen several reviews with the same rating. Will you be bringing the peanut butter back to the range?
