When a horse does not receive enough roughage, it may suffer with stomach problems because digestive juices are produced but the horse does not produce enough saliva to balance this out. When a horse or pony starts cribbing, it bites doors, poles, its manes or its tail. This means that the animal is producing saliva that neutralises the gastric juices. To prevent your horse from biting or gnawing, you can apply the Anti Bite from Grand National to the objects, manes and tail. This gel or spray has a bitter flavour to prevent your horse or pony from wanting to gnaw or bite. Grand National Anti-Bite can be applied to blankets, bandages, fencing, tail and manes.
