Hill's d/d Food Sensitivities - Prescription Diet - Canine
Hill's d/d Canine includes new protein sources (the kind that your pet will not have been exposed to) like duck, salmon and egg. Allergic reactions to beef, dairy products and wheat are the most common, therefore Hill's Prescription Diet d/d does not contain any of these ingredients. Hill's have developed seven formulas (4 canned foods and 3 dry foods), each with a single new source of animal protein (venison, egg, duck, salmon or lamb) combined with a single carbohydrate and vegetable protein source (potato or rice).
Food sensitivities
Food sensitivities and intolerance can lead to various skin and stomach problems that can cause a lot of discomfort, pain and itching in your dog. These adverse reactions are brought on by an abnormal response to specific proteins in the food.
