Product Description
Hill's Prescription Diet - Feline j/d
Hill's j/d Joint Care is an innovative food that can help alleviate pain in the joints. Hill's j/d is clinically proven to improve your cat's mobility in 30 days, as a result of the right balance between healthy nutrients and special omega-3 oil.
Joint disorders in cats
Osteoarthritis is one of the most common joint disorders in cats, which is caused by the degradation of cartilage, leading to inflammatory reactions and pain. Although osteoarthritis can occur in any joint, it most commonly occurs in the elbow, knee and hip joints. Specific diet foods that offer the necessary building blocks, such as glucosamine and chondroitin, can be given to help support the deteriorating cartilage. Another main contributory factor for the development of osteoarthritis is obesity, as joints become overburdened and cartilage starts becoming more and more worn down.
Key benefits:
- A unique formula that contains high levels of DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), ALA (alpha-linolenic acid) and Omega-3 fatty acids. Research has shown that these fatty acids help to preserve joint function.
- Natural glucosamine and chondroitin provide the building blocks for healthy cartilage.
- Added L-carnitine helps to maintain optimal body weight.
Composition
Maize, chicken (13%) and turkey meal, maize gluten meal, animal fat, brewer’s rice, fish oil, dried beet pulp, minerals, pea bran meal, hydrolysed protein, soya oil, DL-methionine, L-carnitine, vitamins, taurine, crustacean hydrolysate (source of glucosamine), trace elements, pork cartilage (source of chondroitin sulphate) and beta-carotene. Small chunks that the cat enjoys eating. I don’t know what the effect is yet; it will probably only become clear after some time.
