Sterilised and castrated cats are more likely to become overweight and more likely to develop urinary tract problems. Hill's has developed the Science Plan Feline Young adult diet to meet the needs of these cats. Apart from duck, the food also contains Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids. To reduce the risk of cats becoming overweight, the diet also has a reduced caloric content. The addition of L-Carnitine and L-Lysine ensures that fat is converted to energy, while fat storage is reduced and the muscle mass is maintained.
