    Food sensitivities or food intolerance

Animals with food allergies or intolerances experience abnormal reactions to proteins in their food. Allergies can present as itchy skin and/or ear infections. Disorders of the gastrointestinal tract (vomiting and/or diarrhoea) can also be caused by allergies. In general, these reactions are caused by beef, dairy products and wheat. Hill's Canine z/d does not use these ingredients, and can therefore be used as an elimination diet to find the source of any food allergies. It can also be used to treat and eliminate adverse reactions such as itchy, non-seasonal skin infections, chronic ear infections, and chronic gastroenteritis (Inflammatory Bowel Disease). Canine z/d canned and dry food can be combined into a single meal if desired.

Also available in Hill's z/d Food Sensitivities - Prescription Diet - Canine wet food.

  • Worth a try

    Hill's Prescription Diet z/d Mini Food Sensitivities - Canine - 1 kg

I found the wet canned version much easier for my sensitive Pomeranian to digest. She likes the biscuits but I soak them first in water as she's shown a bit of stomach discomfort if I don't. I would say the scratching and biting has been less and these are worth a try if you have a dog that's sensitive to virtually everything like mine. Def makes her breath more smelly and my dog needs to poop more but with no issues, the mix is quite dense.
