HorseFlex Stomach Balance
Considering the size of a horse, their stomach is relatively small. This is also the reason why horses eat small portions of food at a time. The stomach wall cannot stretch like ours. Per day, horses chew roughage (hay/grass) for an average of 16 hours. If a horse cannot eat enough roughage (hay/grass), it will chew less as a result. Longer than 2 hours without roughage can already unbalance the acidity in the stomach. This is because the stomach continuously produces gastric acid, which needs to be neutralised by food and saliva. The various herbs in the HorseFlex Stomach Balance provide additional support and help balance the stomach. It contains calcium carbonate and hops which helps maintain normal acidity in the stomach. The herbs chamomile, angelica and peppermint have a soothing effect on the mucous membranes and promote appetite
