Having had surgery on his hind leg, we were told that our collie must keep the plaster completely dry and clean for the 6 weeks he would have wear it. We knew it would be a challenge but this waterproof boot has made it so much easier. It reaches right up to the top his thigh where the plaster ends and because of the grippy foot, he doesn't slip. This product has been a Godsend and I would thoroughly recommend it.

Product Description
Medical Pet Shirt Boot
The Medical Pet Shirt Boot from MPS helps ensure that your pet's bandage remains dry when outside to protect wounds & injuries. The boot is water-resistant and comes with a slip resistant sole. The sole runs a little higher at the front and back of the boot, to ensure that the same protection is offered even if your dog is limping or dragging their paw. The wide opening means it can also be used on dogs with a cast or splint. The drawstrings at the top will help keep the boot in place and keep the bandage free from moisture. The Medical Pet Shirt Boot is available in seven different sizes!

Fantastic BootBy Dorothy, Friday 12 September 2025Medical Pet Shirt Boot - XL
Our dog has a cast reaching to the floor as he had pulled an achilles tendon. I was struggling to keep his foot dry, using layers of plastic bags and cut up coats. This boot has transformed my day. It takes two minutes to put on and it is waterproof!! The reflective straps are useful too. I bought an extra large one for my pointer and it fits perfectly. So far, it is worth every penny!

IdealBy Mike Edgerton, Tuesday 14 January 2025Medical Pet Shirt Boot - M
Our dog had a bad infection in the paw which required operating on. Recovery was slow and it was difficult to find an appropriate cover to protect the bandages for walking. This fit the bill perfectly. Large enough to go over the dressings. The bottom few inches are waterproof as is the sole.

DOESN'T WORK - WASTE OF MONEYBy Mrs Gridley, Sunday 5 January 2025Medical Pet Shirt Boot - M
I bought this Pet Shirt Boot (Medium) for my Labrador who has broken her leg and has it in a Splint which was put on by the Vet. This boot isn't fit for purpose as it falls down my dogs leg even though the straps were the tightest I could get and I even bought some more extra straps to keep it on.... it still slipped down when walking. The boot at the bottom is too heavy for the material for the leg part and ends up flopping around on the end of my dogs paw which causes more pain with a broken leg. It's a total waste of money and doesn't work. We ended up making our own using a thick plastic bag and gaffa tape which does the job!

This is the third one I have purchased and it seems by far the best on the market. However it is not waterproof as advertised so I have to put a plastic bag inside to protect the splint on my dogs leg. The first one I purchased has now torn where the base joins the sock but am hoping that a tent patch will seal this. Overall however it does stay in place reasonably well with the 3 straps. I have tried several alternatives but as stated this is the BEST I have found. Better water proofing would be great.
