NAF NaturalintX Hoof Poultice

The NaturalintX Hoof Compress from NAF Equine is a dressing that's specially designed to fit around the hooves of horses. It contains Tragacanth and Boric acid, which have a mild, natural, antiseptic effect. This way the affected area is supported to heal naturally while the area is kept clean and free from unwanted germs.

Directions for use

Always clean the affected area before starting any type of treatment. Make sure the poultice isn't too hot or too cold before applying it the hoof. Change the material every 12 hours.

The poultice can be applied in 3 different ways:

• Cold poultice: boil some water and let it fully cool off before letting the poultice soak in it. You can also wrap the poultice in a plastic bag before putting it in the freezer. Once it is cold, attach it to the hoof with the NaturalintX Wrap.
• Warm poultice: immerse the poultice in boiled lukewarm water. When the material is fully soaked, take it out and squeeze out the excess water. Place the poultice on the skin, making sure that the plastic side is facing away from the irritated skin. Then attach the poultice with the NaturalintX Wrap.
• Dry poultice: Place the material directly onto the hoof, making sure that the plastic side is facing away from and doesn't touch the irritated skin. Attach the poultice with the NaturalintX Wrap.
