Pezz PCR Worm Test Dog
The Pezz PCR Worm Test Dog is a comprehensive at-home test that allows you to have your dog's faeces examined for common intestinal parasites. The analysis is carried out using the Pezz ParaScreen PCR system. Unlike classic faecal tests, which mainly look for eggs or visible parasites, the PCR test examines the genetic material (DNA) of parasites. This makes the test highly sensitive and accurate, even with low-level infestations. The test checks for roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, coccidia, heartworms, lungworms, Giardia and tapeworms, among others. You simply collect a faecal sample at home and then send it to a specialised laboratory.
In addition to the PCR test, a Standard Worm Test is also available for general screening of worm infections.

Important
This test is intended as a screening tool for common intestinal parasites. If your dog has health complaints or you are unsure about its health, it is always advisable to contact a veterinarian. In the case of a positive result for Giardia, heartworms or lungworms, treatment may only be started in consultation with your own veterinarian. Lungworm infections in particular can cause serious health problems if they are not treated correctly. Self-treatment without veterinary guidance is therefore strongly discouraged.
