Pharmox Probiotics Dog & Cat is a supplementary animal feed that contributes to maintaining a balanced gut flora in dogs and cats. Naturally, the intestines harbour many micro-organisms that collectively play an essential role in digestion and the overall well-being of the animal. A good balance of different bacteria in the gut flora contributes to a well-functioning digestive system. This supplement contains a combination of 10 different probiotic bacterial strains totalling 5 billion colony forming units (cfu) per capsule. It also contains prebiotic inulin from chicory, a food source for the bacteria present in the gut. The combination of pre- and probiotics supports the natural balance of the gut flora. The capsules can be given whole or opened so the powder can be easily mixed with food.

Suitable for

Not suitable for

Dogs or cats with hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients. For use in young animals, it is advised to consult a vet first.

Usage

Give the capsules once a day, preferably in the morning. The capsules can be given whole, or opened, and the contents sprinkled over food. If the powder is sprinkled loose over the food, you can lightly moisten it so it doesn't get blown out of the feeding bowl. When using antibiotics, it is advised not to administer the probiotics at the same time, but at least 4 hours later or after completing the course. For use as a course, a period of 4 to 6 weeks is advised.

Composition

Filler (microcrystalline cellulose), capsule (hypromellose), inulin, mix of 10 probiotic, calcium salts of fatty acids (lubricant), silicon dioxide (anti-caking agent).

Mix of 10 probiotics 5 billion cfu, Bifidobacterium animalis 0.5 billion cfu, Bifidobacterium bifidum 0.5 billion cfu, Bifidobacterium longum 0.5 billion cfu, Lactobacillus acidophilus 0.5 billion cfu, Lactobacillus casei 0.5 billion cfu, Lactobacillus paracasei 0.5 billion cfu, Lactobacillus plantarum 0.5 billion cfu, Lactobacillus rhamnosus 0.5 billion cfu, Lactobacillus salivarius 0.5 billion cfu, Lactobacillus reuteri 0.5 billion cfu, Inulin (chicory) 80 mg.

Storage Advice

Store in the original packaging, in a dark, dry place at room temperature (15-25°C). Do not use after the expiry date stated on the jar.
