I use this for two cats with renal disease. One has half a sachet to guard against potential constipation, and the other cat has a whole sachet daily. I previously used it for a cat who also was around IRIS stage 2, and think it helped him too. Sadly we lost him due to facial tumours.

Product Description
Porus One
Support your cat’s kidneys with Porus One. Cats naturally produce toxins every day, some of which can be harmful to the kidneys. These toxin precursors (known as uraemic toxins) form in the gut during the digestion of proteins. When absorbed from the intestines, these toxins travel via the liver to the kidneys. They are normally excreted in the urine. However, if this process is disrupted, toxins can accumulate in the bloodstream. This build-up can cause direct damage to the organs and kidneys. Porus One acts like a kind of vacuum, binding the precursors of these toxins in the intestines. This allows them to be excreted in the faeces before they can enter the body.
Key features
- Supports kidney function
- Prevents absorption of toxin precursors in the gut
- Helps protect kidneys from toxin-related damage
- Toxins are excreted via the faeces
- Porus One consists of small, uniform black beads

Cats (including those with kidney issues)
Instructions for use
Give Porus One to your cat once daily. Mix the contents of the sachet with wet food to help it bind. Porus One is odourless and tasteless, so it is generally well accepted by cats. Administered by the vetBy Martine quinteyn, Friday 3 July 2026Porus One - 30 Sticks
Easy to give with food. The cat tolerates it well. After a few days, of course, you can't tell if it’s helping.

Well tolerated and acceptedBy Renate, Friday 26 June 2026Porus One - 3 x 30 Sticks
We first received Porus One from the vet for our senior tomcat to support his early kidney weakness, and unlike the other Porus product, he tolerated it well. It can be easily mixed into his food – probably tastes neutral and is odourless.
