This product is expensive but worth every penny. My vet recommended it to help my cat who is in the very early stages of kidney disease. Mix in with his food and it must be tasteless because he eats all his food with this added. His kidney readings have stayed the same since being on this so combined with the correct diet I feel its working as does my vet.

Product Description
Porus One
Support your cat’s kidneys with Porus One. Cats naturally produce toxins every day, some of which can be harmful to the kidneys. These toxin precursors (known as uraemic toxins) form in the gut during the digestion of proteins. When absorbed from the intestines, these toxins travel via the liver to the kidneys. They are normally excreted in the urine. However, if this process is disrupted, toxins can accumulate in the bloodstream. This build-up can cause direct damage to the organs and kidneys. Porus One acts like a kind of vacuum, binding the precursors of these toxins in the intestines. This allows them to be excreted in the faeces before they can enter the body.

I can't tell if it worksBy arla, Wednesday 18 February 2026Porus One - 3 x 30 Sticks
I got this ata good price and it means my cat with renal issues can eat normal foods for now, which she is definitely enjoying. There's no way to tell whether it works or not, but at least she can have food she likes.

PorusOneBy S Lee, Sunday 18 January 2026Porus One - 3 x 30 Sticks
My 15 year old cat has early stage kidney disease but refuses the prescription renal food. Happily accepts PorusOne mixed in his food and at present his condition isn't deteriorating. He had lost a lot of weight but weight has slightly increased as he is eating better now. The PorusOne arrived quickly from Vets end.

Keeps our elderly cat's kidneys in good orderBy Sue Wadsworth-Ladkin, Sunday 23 November 2025Porus One - 3 x 30 Sticks
Our cat, Thyme, started to get kidney disease as she got older from about 18 -19 years old. In order to keep her as healthy, comfortable and pain free as possible our vet recommended Porus One when she heard of it. We started mixing it in her food since she got to around 20 years old. Thyme ha a blood test prior to starting to use the product then about every 12 months, as well as just recently when she needed surgery on her mouth. There was very little difference in the levels of kidney dysfunction. She will be twenty-three years old at the end of April 2026. I think it is helping a lot.

Easier than feeding renal foodBy L Smith, Monday 14 July 2025Porus One - 2 x 30 Sticks
I offered my cat about half a dozen different renal diets all of which sh refused refused to eat so I mix this with a liquid treat and it goes down almost unnoticed. She seems bright and healthy on it and I used it to good effect on a previous cat
