Biofilm
Over time, a biofilm can form in your pond. A biofilm is a collection of micro-organisms such as bacteria, algae and yeasts that attach themselves to a fixed surface, for example the glass of an aquarium. This build-up of micro-organisms not only causes visible soiling, but is often also the cause of a clogged filter, unpleasant odours and the development of more unwanted micro-organisms.
ProbiPlus Koi Pond
ProbiPlus Koi Pond is a concentrate with which you can clean and maintain the pond. The probiotics in this product ensure that the water becomes clear, pure and hygienic again. ProbiPlus Koi Pond has a neutral composition and is therefore safe for your fish. The liquid is also biodegradable.
ProbiPlus Koi Pond is available in 2 different types:
- ProbiPlus K.P. (Koi Pond): For cleaning and maintaining ponds up to 100 m³.
- ProbiPlus K.P.C. (Koi Pond Concentrate): For cleaning and maintaining ponds from 100 m³.
Usage
ProbiPlus K.P. (Koi Pond)
This product can be introduced into the water system via a reservoir or pump.

ProbiPlus K.P.C. (Koi Pond Concentrate):
ProbiPlus K.P.C. (Koi Pond Concentrate): can be applied in a closed water circuit or reservoir, but is also suitable for an open water circuit. Follow the dosage as indicated when administering it.
Closed water circuit or reservoir:
- Start-up: Weekly 100 ml per 10,000 litres of water
- Maintenance dosage: Weekly 25 ml per 10,000 litres of water
Open water circuit:
- Start-up: Weekly 100 ml per 10,000 litres of water
- Maintenance dosage: Weekly 25 ml per 10,000 litres of water + daily 10 ml per 10,000 litres of fresh water.
Please note: In the case of heavily contaminated water, the dose can be temporarily increased to 1 litre ProbiPlus K.P.C. (Koi Pond Concentrate): per m³ per week.
Storage advice
It is recommended to store ProbiPlus Koi Pond protected from direct sunlight at a temperature between 10 and 45 °C. Diluted product should be used within 5 days.
