Purina ONE HydraLife

With four cats in the house, this seemed like a fair test to me, and it certainly was. I was able to try this product. The reactions varied surprisingly. Our oldest cat was immediately enthusiastic. As soon as she smelled it, she walked meowing to her bowl and licked everything up. For a lady who has been picky with her eating recently, that was a pleasant surprise. Her empty bowl looked almost spotless because she enjoyed it so much. That’s good, especially since she’s the one who drinks the least. The two cats aged 5 and 3 ate it heartily. They took their time but didn’t wolf down half the bowl either. There were no leftovers—that’s for sure. Our youngest, just 2, reacted very differently. She sniffed the food briefly, wrinkled her nose, and walked away with her tail held high. Our youngest cat clearly has her own taste and isn’t easily persuaded. Her bowl was left untouched. The product fits smoothly into our regular routine. I didn’t have to change anything and could simply use the familiar bowls. So, three out of the four cats were enthusiastic, while the fourth, as usual, quietly stuck to her own opinion. The oldest cat still goes crazy as soon as she sees the packet, so this is definitely a keeper.

I was given the opportunity to test this product. I gave Purina Hydrolife Salmon to my cat and my first impression is positive. With a new product, it’s always uncertain whether he will even want to try it. Luckily, that wasn’t a problem here: he likes it and eats/drinks it eagerly. I liked seeing that I could give him something he clearly enjoyed. Because of that, I would definitely buy Purina Hydrolife for him again. I can’t say anything about possible effects on his health based on my experience so far. I do think it’s good for his hydration though, as it’s recommended to give it twice a day. And that went well: he doesn’t leave it untouched and I don’t have to encourage him to eat it. My experience is therefore positive. Of course, every cat has its own taste, but it suited mine well.

My ragdoll cat Bella is a very fussy eater who unfortunately drinks very little. Hydralife seemed perfect to try with her for that reason. The packaging is nicely designed with soft colours and a sturdy container. The texture is smooth and drink-like, which is ideal for getting that extra bit of moisture in. The liquid smells pleasantly of salmon. I offered it to our cat several times, but unfortunately she wasn’t interested. After sniffing it once, she left it alone. Sorry!

We had the chance to test this product and definitely our older cats aged 10+ started looking better thanks to the extra moisture they received.

I had the opportunity to test this product. Good hydration is very important for my 8-year-old cat. As soon as I put this food down, she laps it up completely in one go. The taste and liquid texture are excellent. It’s a very simple way to provide extra moisture, especially on warm days. Even when I add a bit more water, she drinks it straight away. Handy sachets to use and no mess.
