Purina Pro Plan Dog Adult - Large Athletic Sensitive Skin

My dog and I were chosen to test Purina's kibbles. The large bag of kibbles was delivered within a day. The dog was curious about them, and so was I. What immediately caught my attention was that there was no sealing flap or closure system on the bag. I don’t find that convenient for a 14 kg bag. The kibbles are quite large, and our dog (Dalmatian) didn’t even sniff them—he ate them straight away. The good thing about this size is that he has to chew, which is good for his teeth. The food bowl empties at a steady pace. His stool is fine with this kibble, and he poos twice a day.

I had the chance to test this product, well… my dog did of course! And since I have two, the second one obviously got to sneak some as well. The older one can be a bit fussy with food and she was the official ‘tester’, but as soon as I opened the bag, she eagerly scoffed the very first kibble… I expected her to sniff it, then smacking her lips, maybe spit it out once or twice before finally chewing – her usual routine. But this time she skipped all the usual stages and went straight to chewing. Of course, I also tested the food as an actual meal and that was positive too; the stool quality is quite good for this type of kibble. To be honest, I expected more and poorer digestion. She enjoys the kibbles, they fill her up well, and she gets enough energy from them. Her coat was already shiny and it hasn’t changed. She’s a working dog, so I don’t always feed her the same amount every day but adjust according to the energy spent, and sometimes I use the kibbles as treats or rewards. No problem at all with these kibbles; she always eats them and is keen on them. That hasn’t always been the case with other brands… I must admit I was sceptical beforehand but honestly had to revise my opinion and can definitely give these kibbles a positive review. I’m always a bit worried about fussiness, loads of poo from undigested nutrients and a dull coat. None of those concerns were confirmed.

I have had the chance to test this product over the past few weeks and both my dog and I are very enthusiastic about it. The packaging is nice and large, so it lasts for a long time. Moreover, this results in less packaging waste, which I personally find very important. My dog also loves the food. I give her a generous scoop in her fun feeder, which keeps her entertained for longer while eating. I’ve also noticed that her sensitive skin reacts well to the food. Her coat feels soft and smooth and has gained a lovely, healthy shine. In short, we are very satisfied and I can definitely recommend this product.
