Purina Pro Plan Dog Adult - Large Robust Sensitive Skin

I had the opportunity to test this product. The packaging is clear and straightforward. Opening the bag was a bit difficult, so I had to use scissors. Unfortunately, the bag is not resealable. This is my only downside. Jack was eager to eat it from the start. The smell of the kibble isn’t overpowering, and his stool is fine. The recommended dosage on the packaging is right for maintaining weight. I feed twice a day, and my dog doesn’t drink excessively either. I'm happy, and so is Jack.

I had the chance to test this product and my 4-year-old labradoodle has no skin problems, but does have a sensitive stomach and intestines, which usually makes switching to a different food difficult for her. Over the past few weeks, I have been carefully mixing this food with her usual kibble, and the transition went surprisingly smoothly. She ate it straight away and wasn’t picky at all, whereas she normally only likes her familiar kibble. The only downside for us is the kibble size: Purina's kibbles are much larger than what she's used to. On the plus side, this means she eats more slowly and doesn’t gulp her food. Overall, a positive experience for a dog with a sensitive digestive system, and a recommendation if you’re looking for food that is easily digested and makes changing easier.

I was able to test this product for our dog who has very sensitive skin (ichthyosis), frequent hotspots, and ear infections. The kibble is a good size. Dogs have to chew it, which prevents gulping. The smell is pleasant and not overpowering. Our dog loves it. The bowl is empty within seconds. Our dog's coat has noticeably become softer and shinier. Her skin is calmer and less flaky. She scratches visibly less and seems comfortable. Her stool is also nice and firm. Another great thing is that this kibble is salmon-based; most sensitive formulas contain lamb and rice, which she doesn’t do well on. We’re very positive about this and will definitely continue feeding it.

I had the chance to test this product with my two border collies. I was surprised by the crunchy kibbles, the smell is very pleasant, and the jars get completely emptied. I’ve noticed their coats shine beautifully and there’s less hair on the floor, which is a nice bonus with two large dogs in the house. They both like it, so the choice is made here—we’ll stick with Purina Pro Plan’s large salmon kibbles.
