Puur Culico

Puur Culico provides additional support to your horse suffering from eczema around the tail and manes. Puur Culico helps the body build a resistance against mosquito bites, reducing the severity of the reaction. Puur Culico should be administered immediately if you notice the horse starting to rub. Normally, the drops have to be applied for two consecutive years, from the months of March/April to October/November. During this time it becomes possible for the horse to build up resistance against mosquito bites. In some cases, this resistance becomes strong enough to be able to stop giving the drops after two years.

Ingredients:

Diluted extracts of Oats, (Avena sativa), Horsetail (Equisetum arvense), Wild Rosemary (Ledum palustre), Arnica(Arnica montana) and blackberry (Ribes nigrum). Alcohol 35%.

• Culicoides robertii is a preparation made of the mosquitos that play a big part in developing eczema in horses and ponies.
• Oats (Avena sativa) to calm the skin.
• Horsetail (Equisetum arvense) for healthy hair, coat and skin.
• Wild Rosemary (Ledum palustre) is used for treating the effects of mosquito bites.
• Arnica (Arnica montana) for pain relief.
• Blackberry (Ribes nigrum) contains mainly flavonoids, anthocyanins, tannin, amino acids, and a small percentage essential oil. Ribes nigrum is one of the principal means of gemmotherapy. Ribes nigrum also helps to dispose of waste materials. Thanks to these features Ribes nigrum is perfect for application to the tail and manes.

Dosage and administration:

1 ml = 20 drops. If you find it difficult to administer this product several times a day then once a day or once every other day will be sufficient at the maximum dosage for one day. The product will still be effective in this case but your pet may take a little bit longer to respond to it. Add the drops to some water and use a plastic disposable syringe without a needle to insert this directly into the mouth, allowing it to be absorbed by a clean oral mucous. You could also soak the drops into a piece of bread. Give Puur Culico at least 30 minutes before or after feeding. Puur Culico does not require a prescription.

Treatment duration:

Usually, the drops need to be used for two consecutive years from March/April until October/November. Generally they are no longer needed after this period. It is important not to stop the treatment between March and November. From experience we have seen that the animal will show a lot of improvement during the first year of treatment. In the second year the animal will respond even better and the treatment can be stopped at the end of the second season. If there is intense mosquito activity or high temperatures, we recommend using a maximum of double the prescribed dose. During periods of a lot of mosquito activity it might help to turn out your horse in the early morning and stable it in the evening. The effect of Puur Culico can be even greater if you use Puur Detoxi for Dogs & Cats or Phytonics Detox Comp for internal cleansing before starting the treatment. You can offer your horse additional protection with a protective blanket.

Storage

Avoid direct sunlight and keep this product dry with a temperature between 5-20 ºC. Keep out of reach of children. The expiration date is written on the label on the box.
