Puur Glucosamine Extra promotes healthy joints. The balanced composition supports the establishment and preservation of articular cartilage, ligaments and joint capsules and ensures optimal quality of synovial fluid, which is of great importance for joint lubrication. Puur Glucosamine Extra includes glucosamine and chondroitin for the formation of the proteoglycans. Together with water, these form cartilage cells, articular cartilage and collagen. Cartilage acts as a cushion between the two parts of the joint. Calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, copper and manganese are also important for the structure and functioning of joints. In addition, Puur Glucosamine Extra contains anti-inflammatory ingredients.

Puur Glucosamine Extra dosage

Unless prescribed otherwise by a vet, 1-2 times daily:

Administration

Puur Glucosamine Extra can be mixed with food. Moisten the powder so that it is not blown out of the bowl. Always consult with a vet before giving to pregnant or lactating animals.

Treatment duration

In an acute situation, the duration of the treatment is relatively short. This can vary from a few days to 3 weeks. In case of improvement, continue to administer this product for a few more days.

For long-term discomfort, the effect is usually visible after 1 to 3 weeks. After improvement switch to a maintenance dose. This is usually one half of the indicated dosage on the packaging. In the beginning, a higher dosage may be required, this product can be safely given in a double dosage. Reduce the dosage gradually to the lowest possible dose.

This product can continue to be used indefinitely. It is advised that a stop week is used every 6 to 8 weeks. The stimulus can be reintroduced after the stop week. Resume treatment immediately if symptoms worsen.

Composition per 4 gram

The composition of Puur Glucosamine Extra for cats and dogs is different from Horse/Pony. The horse/pony composition contains ginger, among other ingredients. Ginger is easily digestible in horses/ponies. Unfortunately, dogs are not able to digest ginger as easily and it has therefore been left out. For dogs, this has been replaced with Boswellia.

Glucosamine (sulphate) 362 mg, methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) 318 mg, chondroitin sulphate (bovine) 233 mg, magnesium (citrate) 77.7 mg, Ribes nigrum, Urtica dioica.
