Dogs only have a small amount of sweat glands, which means they could use some help cooling down on hot days. The Ruffwear Swamp Cooler is a cooling vest specifically designed for dogs. To keep them cool on hot days, all you have to is submerge the Swamp Cooler in water, wring it out and fasten it around your dog. The Swamp Cooler is made up of three layers: the comfortable inner layer transfers the heat from your dog to the next layer whilst simultaneously transferring the cooling effect to your dog. The middle layer is highly absorbent and stores water for evaporation, which is facilitated by the wicking outer layer. In short, the Swamp Cooler mimics the body's natural sweating process, by absorbing the body heat from your dog and evaporating excess heat. The Swamp Cooler also comes with a handy opening so the lead can be attached to the Front Range Harness or the Webmaster Harness underneath. The Swamp Cooler's light colour helps reflect sunlight instead of absorbing it and also comes with reflective stripes for added visibility in low-lighting conditions.

What if the Ruffwear Swamp Cooler does not fit?

The Ruffwear Swamp Cooler can be removed from the packaging and held up next to the dog in order to check whether it fits. For hygiene reasons, the Ruffwear Swamp Cooler cannot be returned if it has come into contact with your pet. If we find that the returned product is stained, worn, contains animal hair, smells or has been washed after use, we cannot return the product to you. In this event, it will be donated to a charity (local shelter). As we are often confronted with products that are returned in a less than new condition, we have to apply these rules for fitting and/or returning products.
