Skincalmin Relief Lotion is a mild, nurturing lotion specially developed for horses with sensitive skin and irritation. During periods when the skin is under extra stress, such as mosquito season or damp conditions, the skin may become unbalanced. This can lead to discomfort, rubbing, and skin damage. The lotion helps calm the skin and supports the natural healing process, allowing the skin to recover. Skincalmin Relief can be used daily if necessary and applied to various problem areas such as the mane, tail, and lower legs. Skincalmin Relief Lotion is widely used for horses that are prone to summer itch and greasy heel.

Use for Summer Itch

Generously apply the lotion to the sensitive or irritated skin. Thanks to the nozzle cap, the lotion can easily be applied between the hairs.

• At the beginning of the season: 2 to 4 times per week to support the skin and prevent rubbing
• At the first signs: start applying immediately
• First 14 days: at least once a day, and if necessary, twice a day
• Thereafter: reduce to 3-4 times per week and possibly to 1-2 times per week If sensitivity increases, for example, on warm and still days, the frequency can temporarily be increased.

Use for Greasy Heel

Once a mite infection is ruled out or treated, the lotion can be applied:

• Trim or shave hair away as needed
• Generously apply to the skin and massage well
• Gently remove any loose scabs, only those that come off on their own
• Continue to use daily until the skin looks calm
• Thereafter: maintain once every 3 to 14 days

Usage Tips

• Test the lotion on a small area of skin first
• Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes
• Gloves are not necessary while applying
• Can be used in conjunction with a summer blanket, depending on the needs of the horse
