Specific Allergen Management Plus FOW-HY

We previously used Hills Prescription Diet hydrolysed chicken, but it was really hard to get our cat to eat it. I know she prefers fish, so I came across this food. She doesn't love it, but she eats it better than Hills and tolerates it very well. Without freeze-dried treats on top, she hardly eats it though, unfortunately. I'm glad she tolerates them, otherwise it would be difficult. Overall, the food is okay; the rice adds some texture which helps.

Unfortunately, neither of our two would accept the food. They just sniffed briefly and walked away. Even a little cheese topping powder didn’t help. After several attempts, we gave up. Unfortunately, I haven’t found any other hydrolysed wet food. Now I have to try which hypoallergenic ones they will accept.

Recommended for treating IBD alongside cortisone. We tried other hydrolysed wet foods without success, but this one was finally much liked by the cat, and the soft texture makes it easy to mix the cortisone into the food.

It definitely smells quite strong, but I think you have to expect that with fish! After all, it's the cat that's supposed to eat it, not me! It’s not completely eaten up, but at least it’s accepted, which is hugely valuable as an alternative! I’m really glad to have had this food recommended through a third party! Since my kitty is highly intolerant to food and I only had one type of food she now even refused more and more, things were getting critical! But the tolerance with this food is great so far! No vomiting or diarrhoea shortly after! Of course, it’s still an adjustment for the cat’s digestion at first, but now everything looks great!

I've had quite a few problems with my old tomcat. He needs a lot of liquid medication as well as a special diet. So it's very important that he gets wet food that he likes, and after many attempts he now eats this with pleasure. Really great!
