Specific Puppy Small Breed CPD-S is specially designed to support the growth of small breed puppies. The diet is formulated to include all of the necessary nutrients required by active puppies and their mothers. This food may also be fed to female dogs until the puppies are weaned. This way, the puppy gets the nutrition it needs through its mother's milk. This is also a good idea because the pup sees its mother eating and therefore will be curious to try it for itself. Specific Puppy Small Breed CPD-S can be combined with the wet food variant Specific Puppy All Breeds CPW.

Specific Puppy Small Breed CPD-S has been specially developed for puppies of small breeds. The food can be given from the age of 5-6 weeks, up to the moment that the puppy has reached 80 to 100% of its adult weight. Then you can gradually transfer the pet onto Specific Adult Small Breed CXD-S.

In addition, Specific Puppy Small Breed CPD-S also be given to:

• Pregnant and lactating dogs (of any breed)
• Small breed dogs with reduced appetite
• Convalescing small breed dogs.

Daily amounts

The daily amount of food your puppy needs depends on factors such as breed, environment, season, activity and so on. It is therefore recommended to properly monitor the weight of your puppy and adjust portion sizes accordingly.

The energy requirements of a female dog during lactation depends on the size of litter. For 2, 4 and 8 puppies, increase in energy requirements is, respectively, 1.5, 2 and 3 times that of a normal adult dog.
