The Tetra BioFoam filter sponge is designed to optimise biological filtration in the aquarium. The sponge provides a large surface area for beneficial bacteria to settle on. These bacteria break down harmful substances like ammonia and nitrite, ensuring the water remains safe for fish and plants. In addition to biological filtration, the Filterspons BioFoam mechanically captures medium-sized dirt particles. This supports a stable, clear, and healthy aquarium environment.

Please note: always rinse the filter sponge in hand-warm water before use. This removes dust and ensures the sponge operates optimally from the outset.
