Food hypersensitivity

Food hypersensitivity means that your cat has an adverse or allergic reaction to certain ingredients in food. This can be treated with special diet foods that do not contain the ingredients your cat is hypersensitive to. A food hypersensitivity diagnosis is usually made based on the results of an elimination diet. This food is sometimes referred to as hypoallergenic, and includes a single protein and single carbohydrate source, both of which are used because they rarely cause hypersensitive reactions.

TROVET Hypoallergenic LRD (Lamb) Cat

TROVET Hypoallergenic LRD - Lamb Rice Diet contains a single source of protein and a single source of carbohydrate: lamb and rice. This prevents the occurrence of immunological reactions (food allergies) or non-immunological reactions (food intolerance), which usually present in the form of skin disorders and/or gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhoea or vomiting. Switching to a hypoallergenic diet like TROVET LRD can slowly reduce reactions such as scratching, rubbing and biting. In addition, TROVET LRD contains the optimum amount of all essential nutrients.

• Pets with hypersensitivity to animal protein derived from lamb

Use

The recommended use is initially 3 to 8 weeks. When the hypersensitivity symptoms disappear, Hypoallergenic (Lamb) can be used indefinitely. It is important to strictly observe the prescribed diet

Protein 5.5%, fat 4.2%, inorganic matter 1.8%, crude fiber 1.0%, moisture 84%, other carbohydrates 3.5%, calcium (ca) 0.38%, phosphorus (p) 0.25%, sodium (na) 0.21% , potassium (k) 0.12%, vitamin A 1200 IU/kg, vitamin D3 127 IU/kg, vitamin E 60 mg/kg, zinc (Zn) 15 mg/kg, taurine 1500 mg/kg.

Snacks

TROVET Hypoallergenic LRD (Lamb) Cat can be combined with Multi Purpose Treats (Fish). Please note: This does not apply during the elimination phase.
