Product information
WAW Shock Absorber
Constant pulling during walks can cause pain for both you and your dog. Fortunately, the WAW Shock Absorber offers a solution by reducing the pulling force on the lead by as much as 40%. The WAW anti-shock system consists of a shock absorber that is placed between the harness and the lead, effectively absorbing shocks during walks. Ordinary dog leads can cause injuries to your dog when there are sudden jerks. The WAW helps prevent injuries to both dog and owner. Growing puppies also benefit from extra protection while their bodies are still vulnerable and walks can be quite turbulent. What really sets the WAW apart is its progressively elastic composition made from high-quality plastics. Unlike products made from elastic or rubber, the WAW is made from a sturdy type of plastic that stretches proportionally and retracts proportionally. This allows energy to be absorbed without the unwanted ‘bungee jump’ effect. In addition, the WAW remains sturdy in use and does not lose its shape, even with intensive use.

Far too stiffBy Bab, Sunday 9 June 2024WAW Shock Absorber - L, 16-25 kg
Bought for my Labradoodle teenager, who sometimes suddenly spots something very interesting and dashes off towards it. The dog weighs 21 kilos, but there’s hardly any difference whether the anti-shock part is attached or not, it’s that stiff. I’m using it on a fixed lead.

Way too stiffBy Bab, Sunday 9 June 2024WAW Shock Absorber - L, 16-25 kg
Bought for my Labradoodle teenager, who sometimes suddenly spots something very interesting and bolts towards it. The dog weighs 21 kilos, but there’s hardly any difference whether the anti-shock part is on or not—it’s that stiff. I’m using it with a fixed line.
