Pancreatitis
Pancreatitis is a condition of the pancreas that can be clinically divided into acute and chronic pancreatitis. Pancreatitis occurs frequently in dogs. Chronic pancreatitis can result in damage to pancreatic tissue and disturbances or cessation of exocrine pancreatic secretion. In exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, the digestion of proteins, carbohydrates and fats is insufficient. Pancreatic powder can replace the impaired enzyme production of the affected pancreas.
Highly digestible diet
Dogs that have survived an acute attack of pancreatitis should be placed on a highly digestible diet supplemented with Zymoral pancreatic powder. In cases of chronic pancreatitis, this treatment should be continued for life. It is recommended to feed the animals three times daily with a highly digestible diet containing high-quality proteins and carbohydrates and a low fat content.
Administration and dosage
Zymoral pancreatic powder must be administered with every meal. It is important that the animal receives food regularly (preferably three times daily). The measuring scoop has two sides: 3 g and 6 g. The recommended dosage is:
- Dog: 1 measuring scoop of 3 g with each meal
- Cat: 1/4 – 3/4 measuring scoop of 3 g with each meal
The dosage should be adjusted according to the severity of the pancreatic insufficiency and the weight of the animal. In cases of chronic insufficiency, the dosage may be increased until the desired result is achieved.

A bit of a doubtful caseBy Rob, Tuesday 4 August 2026Zymoral Pancreas Powder - 120g
The powder does its job. The fermentation process is started by the enzymes and definitely supports the pancreas. However, our dog suffered quite a bit from acid reflux and wind. It’s a cheaper alternative to Lypex, but it does come with more side effects.

ZymoralBy Beate Breiter, Wednesday 1 July 2026Zymoral Pancreas Powder - 120g
Takes some getting used to because of the smell. I then reduced the dosage. It's a bit better now; we need to wait for the next blood test.
