Celebrating Easter with Your Pet!

Written by Indy |

With spring in full bloom, Easter is just around the corner. Easter is all about joy, togetherness, and of course, delicious food. Let’s not forget to include our beloved pets in the celebration too. From fun toys to tasty treats, here are some ideas to make Easter special for both you and your furry friend.

Fun Easter Activities

Our pets love nothing more than spending the whole day with us and being included in fun activities. Just like children enjoy an Easter egg hunt, this can be a great activity for your dog too. Hide some tasty treats or special Easter eggs in the garden or around the house and let your dog sniff them out.

It’s also fun to create a special Easter basket for your furry friend. Fill it with tasty snacks and a fun Easter toy, such as the Hippity Hoppity Bunnies from P.L.A.Y. or the Adori Carrot Play Mat. They’re guaranteed to love it—because let’s be honest, what pet doesn’t enjoy a present?

Don’t forget to snap some fun photos of your pet in their Easter outfit or with their new toy. Decorate a backdrop with Easter-themed props and take some adorable shots to share with friends and family on social media. And don’t forget to tag us with #medpetsmoments!

Easter Treats for Your Pet

In many homes, Easter also means a festive brunch—so why not treat your pet to something special too? You could spread a tasty snack on a lick mat like the LickiMat Buddy, or fill a treat-dispensing toy like the Trixie Roly Poly Snack Egg with some delicious goodies. And how about making your own Easter snacks? Here’s a simple and safe recipe to spoil your furry friend:

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter (make sure it contains no xylitol, which is toxic to pets)
  • 1/4 cup oats

Instructions:

  1. Mash the banana in a bowl until smooth.
  2. Add the peanut butter and oats, and mix well.
  3. Roll the mixture into small balls and place them on a baking tray.
  4. Freeze the tray until the treats are firm.
  5. Serve the Easter snacks to your pet and enjoy the holiday together!

Watch Out for Chocolate!

While chocolate may be an Easter favourite for humans, it’s important to remember that chocolate is toxic to pets—especially dogs and cats. Keep all chocolate well out of reach and be sure to remove any hidden chocolate eggs from the garden before letting your pet outside. Read here about the dangers of chocolate for pets.

With these tips and ideas, you can celebrate Easter with your pet in a fun and safe way. Enjoy the festivities and create special memories together.

Happy Easter!
