As an alternative, you can give your dog AdTab Chewable Tablets Dog. These are available without a prescription.

AdTab is a non-prescription product against fleas and ticks in dogs. This tablet protects your dog for 30 days. It kills existing fleas within 6 hours, before they can lay eggs. It breaks the flea life cycle and helps prevent a flea infestation in your home and areas your dog frequents. Because AdTab works from within as a chewable tablet, you can continue to touch your dog after administration.

Credelio Chewable Tablets Dog

Credelio provides an easy way to protect your dog against fleas and ticks for one month. The active ingredient in Credelio is lotilaner. Lotilaner kills fleas and ticks. It is absorbed into your dog's bloodstream. Fleas and ticks must begin feeding to be exposed to the active substance. For fleas, activity begins within 4 hours of attachment and lasts for one month. Fleas already on the dog before administration are killed within 6 hours. For ticks, activity begins within 48 hours of attachment and lasts for one month. Ticks already present on the dog are killed within 8 hours. Credelio is a tasty flavoured chewable tablet.

Administration

Credelio is a chewable tablet that most dogs readily accept. The tablet can be given with or without food. Tablets should not be broken. Use the proper combination of available strengths to obtain the recommended dosage.

Dosage

For dogs over 45 kg body weight, use a combination of two tablets that best matches the dog's weight.

Special warnings

• Because parasites must feed on the host to be exposed to lotilaner, the risk of transmission of parasite-borne diseases cannot be entirely excluded
• Do not use in puppies under 8 weeks of age and/or dogs weighing less than 1.3 kg
• Do not administer at intervals shorter than 8 weeks, as safety at shorter intervals has not been evaluated
• The safety of this veterinary medicinal product has not been established during pregnancy, lactation, or breeding. Use only in consultation with your veterinarian
• Do not use in cats
• Do not use in cases of hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients
