When should you use dental wipes?
Dental wipes are suitable for:
- removing plaque
- cleaning teeth and gums
- supporting fresh breath
- daily dental care
- dogs that still need to get used to tooth brushing
Although dental wipes help reduce plaque, they usually remove plaque less thoroughly than a toothbrush, provided it is used correctly. They are therefore especially suitable as a supplement to tooth brushing or for dogs where brushing is difficult.
How do you use dental wipes?
Wrap the dental wipe around your finger or hold it between your fingers and gently wipe over the teeth and along the gum line. Pay extra attention to the molars, as this is where most plaque often forms.
Use a clean wipe for each brushing session and always follow the product’s instructions for use. There are also special finger pads to care for your dog’s teeth.
When should you contact a veterinarian?
Does your dog have bad breath, red or bleeding gums, a lot of tartar or difficulty eating? Then there may be a dental problem. In that case, contact your veterinarian for a dental check.
