Douxo Spa Detangling Spray

My first impression of the spray was positive. The packaging looks neat and the product is easy to use. The formulation seems well thought out, with mild ingredients suitable for sensitive dog skin. I really liked the scent – fresh and clean without being overpowering. Application went smoothly and the spray spreads well through the coat, without feeling sticky. However, the results were a bit disappointing. With my Labradoodle, I noticed little difference in combability; the mats remained just as difficult to remove. Additionally, the coat felt drier afterwards than I had hoped. What did stand out is that the spray absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave a greasy residue. In short: pleasant to use and nicely scented, but in terms of effectiveness not quite what I expected.

What a lovely spray! I got to test this, and my Pomeranian and I really enjoyed it. You spray it onto the coat, let it soak in for a moment, and then comb through. The coat does get a bit wet, but it dries quickly. You can easily comb out the tangles, and it also smells fresh and pleasant!

This spray worked very well. It’s easy to apply and has a pleasant scent. However, after a few hours I noticed the dog's coat looked dull and lacked shine. The scent also became less pleasant and somewhat overpowering. Perhaps this has to do with the Pomeranian’s coat, because the spray did soften and detangle it. I applied a nourishing oil (for dogs) afterwards and then everything was fine again, so combined with the oil, it’s a good product.

I was able to test this spray and I’m very happy with it. I used to struggle regularly with tangles in my dog's coat after she had been outside and got burdock or sticky weed in her fur. With this spray, these are much easier to brush out of her coat. Almond protein works really well to remove these tangles, and I have the impression she also gets fewer tangles overall. Her coat is certainly very soft! The only downside is that my dog isn’t a fan of spray bottles, so it’s not a treat for her. A cream could be a nice alternative.

Very happy with the detangling spray that I got to test for a few weeks. The dogs' coats are easy to brush after using the spray. It has a subtle scent that smells very refreshing. After spraying, the coat also looks shinier. The only downside is that the bottle could be bigger. That doesn’t stop me from buying this product again in the future. I used the spray after swimming and a few times after walking.
