Pavo 18Plus Fibre has been developed for horses that temporarily or permanently have difficulty eating normal forage sources such as hay, haylage and silage. This may occur, for example, in senior horses with reduced dental function, horses with dental problems or horses that have had intensive treatment from an equine dentist. The fibres are shorter than 3 cm and have soft stems, making them easier to chew. Pavo 18Plus Fibre can be used both as a supplement to the ration and for partial or complete replacement of forage. The composition contains no grains, molasses, other added sugars or lucerne and is very low in sugar and starch. This also makes the product suitable for horses that need a low-sugar or grain-free diet. Pavo 18Plus Fibre can also be used for horses that need to start eating again carefully after, for example, an operation or need to regain their appetite. The product is not suitable for horses that no longer have any dental function at all. If you are unsure about feeding, please contact your vet or equine dentist.

Feeding guidelines

As a supplement to the ration:

• Pony of 300 kg: 0.3 to 1 kg per day
• Horse of 600 kg: 0.6 to 2 kg per day

Partial replacement of forage:

• Pony of 300 kg: 3 to 6 kg per day
• Horse of 600 kg: 6 to 12 kg per day

Complete replacement of forage:

• Pony of 300 kg: 3 to 6 kg per day
• Horse of 600 kg: 6 to 12 kg per day

Please note: if your horse has no dental function, 18Plus Fibre cannot be fed. In addition, 18Plus Fibre is not a complete feed. If you want to make sure your horse receives all daily vitamins and trace elements, we recommend feeding a concentrate alongside it. The Pavo 18Plus is well suited to give alongside and can also be fed soaked. If you are unsure whether 18Plus Fibre is suitable for your horse, please contact your vet first.
